An 8.3 makes a good power plant for the following tractors;
7060, 7080, 7580, 4W-220 all of the 8000 series from the 8010, 8030, 8050 and 8070
Custom built in Steel and with a new steel flywheel, set up to work for power director or power shift applications.
The new flywheel is showing without ring gear so you will need to install yours. Although we can provide them for additional fee.

These two pieces (ADAPTER PLATE AND FLYWHEEL) are the most important of the re powering process. You are able to use your stock starter (it is relocated to other side to clear the engine block) as the ring gear is in the exact location as factory was! Plate is drilled to accept the factory sensor for the Tachometer on the 8000 series. You will need to provide the front mount (although we are working on this) and other accessories and linkages yourself, as the Cummins can come with a wide variety of mounting points for accessory's. You will also want to make sure the clearance's in other areas' work for your application.
These are made to fit a bunch of Allis Chalmers tractors and they may well work on some models that are not listed.!!
This is a good option, as the Cummins engine is readily available, has a great reputation for fuel economy as well as being a proven engine
capable of long life!! In addition the parts are easily available and are very reasonable compared to other manufacturers engine parts.
