This listing is for an almost exact reproduction of the factory two post and canopy set up that was offered with the IH 1566 and 1568. They are different at the base of the legs and unique to the 1566 and 1568 tractors due to the extra width required to clear the planetary's on the rear axles compared to the version built for the 56 and non planetary 66 series tractors. See the pics and how they widen out at the base differently than the others we sell. The pictures of the painted set are actually for a 1066 and it is identical to what we are selling here for the 1566 EXCEPT these will have the bases as pictured in the 2 photo's of unpainted metal. These are built here in Pa. and are very well put together. All of the parts are built to interchange with the factory setup and this setup comes with grade 8 bolts and axle clamps to hold it to the chassis. The legs and clamps are built to be as close to the appearance of original as possible for the 1566. These weigh as much as the originals and have better looking welds. We sell these as a sun shade and make no claims as to their protection as a rollover device. The photo's are of a setup that we painted and sold here and shows how they look when assembled. The one's we are selling on this site will come unpainted and will be in four pieces that need assembled. This is necessary for ease of shipping .
A BIT OF RECENTLY LEARNED INFORMATION ABOUT THIS STYLE OF LEG FOR THE SUPPORT IS THAT THEY WERE A FACTORY PART ON THE VERY LATEST OF THE 1066 AND 1466 SERIES BLACKSTRIPE TRACTORS. WE ARE WORKING ON SERIEAL NUMBER BREAKS FOR THIS AND WILL POST IF WE CAN GET VERIFICATION. THE WIDER FOOT PRINT ON THE AXLE DOES MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO REPAIR THE BRAKES MUCH EASIER THAN THE MORE COMMONLY FOUND FACTORY SET UP AND ARE MUCH NICER TO BE AROUND THAN ANY OF THE OTHER AFTER MARKET IMITATIONS WHICH WE COMPETE WITH!

THESE ARE BUILT FOR THEIR COSMETIC APPEAL FOR RESTORATION PROJECTS AND AS A WEATHER GUARD FROM THE SUN AND RAIN. THE UNITS WE ARE SELLING HERE WILL BE IN FOUR PIECES. For an additional $595 we can provide new aftermarket fenders with either single or double headlight openings. These are of heavy construction and are also a very close match to the original.

We have several owner operators that will deliver to points west for reasonable prices as long as you can meet them along the interstate to offload items. we prefer this as it means less chance of damage as it delivers on the same trailer that loaded it. We also have discounted shipping agreements with several carriers but the canopy is bigger than a 4 x 4 pallet and we charge $140 to palletize and protect them in transit!
THE FACTORY BUILT VERSION OF THESE HAVE BEEN ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THE USED MARKET, AND WHEN THEY DO SHOW UP ARE OFTEN IN THE $2500 RANGE IF IN GOOD SHAPE.PLEASE NOTE!
