DETAILS ABOUT OUR THREE PIECE KIT WITH THE FRAME RAIL CUTOUTS
Adapter plate & new 14" flywheel to repower IH 06, and 56 series gas engine tractors with Cummins 5.9 / 6-BT or 3.9 / 4BT engines.
This listing is for an adapter plate, a new flywheel and front mounts to repower with the popular Cummins B series. We reccomend the 14 inch flywheel simply because it is readily available and stronger than the stock 12" setup found in the above mentioned tractors. We can supply a 12" flywheel in order to use your own clutch in this repower. In general the 12" clutch kit will cost you approx $100 less than the 14" kit when its time to replace it.

Our plate is a precision built piece that fits the profile of the bell housing properly and looks like an original part. You can be assured the alignment is correct,
They are built on a modern CNC machine and designed to use the original dial pins on the bell housing side and the Cummin's style on the engine side so
that everything runs true. This kit is built with pride here in the US and is designed for appearance as well as strength. Will create a re-power that you

THESE PLATES ARE BUILT TO ENSURE YOUR FRAME RAILS END UP IN THE SAME LOCATION AS THE ORIGINALS,
SO THAT YOUR SHEET METAL WILL LINE UP CORRECTLY AND THE ENGINE WILL LOOK LIKE IT WAS THERE FROM NEW.
IN ORDER TO DO THIS WE HAD TO CUT OUT POCKETS IN THIS VERSION OF OUR PLATE TO BRING THE FRAME RAILS BACK INTO THE CORRECT POSITION.
THE THICKNESS OF THE ORIGINAL PLATE ON THE IH GAS MOTORS IS JUST UNDER 1/2 INCH. THIS IS THE SAME ON THE SHORT FRAME 706 DIESELS
WHICH RAN THE D-282 AS WELL. YOU WILL NOTICE ON THE PICTURES THE AREA WHICH WE CUT OUT TO BRING THINGS TOGETHER.
We use this plate in several of our other kits where the customer wants to retain original appearance and sheetmetal.

The plate is built of Aluminum alloy and comes with a new 14 inch flywheel and front mounts,The plate is built to a thickness to put the ring gear and the flywheel in the exact position of the original. Our flywheel comes with a ring gear part number 326759 R1 and has 132 teeth and is 16.685 in OD, This matches in tooth count and OD a ring gear with part number 341604R1 which is found in the diesel version of every tractor named under this listing. This means you will need to find a diesel starter out of the same model tractor that you are running and use it in place of the original gas starter.

Our kit allows you to use stock IH clutch parts including the throwout and pilot bearing etc.. These are common over the counter parts from your local dealer, or at any number of aftermarket parts yards and clutch rebuilders. We like to use and can supply with this order the same 14 inch clutch kit as a 1206 or early 1066 which had 12 springs and therefore an easier pedal, or the1456 which had a 15 spring pressure plate and works best with a hydraulic clutch assist..
ALL ORIGINAL ADJUSTMENTS AND CLUTCH CONTROLS ARE RETAINED.
All of the tractors named in this kit had the 12 inch flywheel set up from factory, the 14" fits right in the same spot and will be a significant upgrade.
We do make a 12 inch flywheel available with the correct Cummins pattern for those that request it. This allows you to use your original clutch if you wish.
This kit (plate, mts and the larger 14 inch wheel) fits the models as detailed and listed below.
706 gas or glow plug diesel, 806-G, 756-G, 856-G ,and 826-G gear drive.

THE NEED FOR A HOME MADE CROSS TUBE AND ENSURES THAT YOUR ENGINE WILL STAY PROPERLY COOLED. THESE WILL BOLT IN THE SAME AS YOUR ORIGINAL RADIATOR
AND IN MOST CASES YOUR SHROUD WILL BE A DIRECT BOLT ON AS WELL, SPECIAL PRICING WHEN BOUGHT WITH A KIT.
